Y dna tests are expensive. So i had a thought, instead of testing against a potential cousin, a father son test is cheaper......obviously the results would be not father and son, but would it note that the two individuals would be of the same y chromosome?

If this was an answer to a different question (than the one you asked), would you ask again, with a few more specifics?
