    Senex = old man

    I think it is "satis" - enough
    laudabilis - praiseworthy

          Well taking the phrase as corrected above: "franciscus whittell senex et pra moribus loci satis laudabilis obit quinta lal octob sepultus fuit", and running that through Google Translator, gives: "Francis Whittell old premises and morals of discharges quite commendable fifth lot was buried Oct.", by which I assume (translating from Googlese to proper English) is along the lines of: "Francis Whittell, old man of commendable morals was buried 5th October."
