Advice concerning 'Genealogist' site

Please can anyone advise me on whether there are any advantages to subscribing to 'The Genealogist' site; I already subscribe to 'Ancestry' and 'Find My Past'. Would any additional details be available on 'Genealogist' that I cannot view on the other sites?

I think it depends on whether they have the records you are searching for! I did subscribe for a year (with a tempting offer) but found it difficult and frustrating to search. I had Ancestry and FMP as well and if I couldn't find what I wanted on either of those I turned to The Genealogist ....... sadly I very rarely found it there either! Gave it up after a year.

I had a short trial with The Genealogist, the only real advantage at that time for me were the tithe records, and as I already had an Ancestry sub I found I didn't need the census records or many of the parish records. A good site if you are just starting your research though.
