I am looking for any information on my gggg-grandfather, FENEBY FLIGHT (That is the name of the father on the daughters marriage certificate. His daughter PAMELA FLIGHT married HENRY CARTER, the marriage took place on 16 July 1848 at St John Evangelist in London. Feneby Flight was listed as a Bootmaker and resided at 24 Great Tufton Street. PAMELA could be the Pamela Jones Flight born 12-5-1822 in Rodborough to a Rachael Flight. Can anyone suggest where to search? for FENEBY or PAMELA JONES FLIGHT. Any replies would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum cadilliac.
Can you supply a bit more info from the marriage cert please? I cannot find a Great Tufton Street only a Tufton St in Westminster. Is St John Evangelist in Westminster as there are several in London. What ages did they give on the cert and the witnesses could be useful.
Have you found any of them on the 1841 and 1851 censuses?Kat

The Pamela Flight baptism in Rodborough is an illegitimate birth - no father's name given - no Jones as middle name on the baptism image. Is Jones on the Marriage cert?
Edit:
Have just seen this but there is no image :
Name: Pamela Jones Flight
Gender: Female
Baptism Date: 12 May 1822
Baptism Place: Rodborough, Gloucester, England
Mother: Rachael Flight
FHL Film Number: 855706
But this is the image:

These are the deaths for Pamela Carter
CARTER, PAMELA 41
GRO Reference: 1866 M Quarter in MITFORD Volume 04B Page 214 (Norfolk)
CARTER, PAMELA 58
GRO Reference: 1878 D Quarter in RICHMOND SURREY Volume 02A Page 221
It's strange not to find her on a census as Pamela was not a popular name in the 1800's.
There is this marriage if she remarried:
Marriages Dec 1858
Carter Pamila Harriet Greenwich 1d 810
to either
Thomas George Greenwich 1d 810
or
Williams William George Greenwich 1d 810
As Cadilliac is from NZ perhaps these are the relatives that emigrated hence we cannot find them.Last edited by Katarzyna; 31-03-17, 15:30.Kat

Hi to all and thank you to all as well, Looking at Pamela's wedding cert her new father-in-law was a wheelwright, really difficult to read names of witness could be James Jensson and a J H ??. their address look like 11 Page St and Great Tufton or Tafton. A Pamela Flight was a witness with Richard Henry Tucker Formerly of Maddox St to a marriage on 28 March 1840 at St George Hanover Square of Alexander Richard Flight (Book Binder) and Ezilabeth Tucker. On one of her children birth cert her place of birth was gloucestershire. Known children are James think he was born 1852 in Chelsea London, Henry born 21 Sept 1860 in Collingwood Victoria Australia, Annie born 1850 Brighton England?, Elizabeth born Victoria Australia in 1854, Mary born Dunedin New Zealand 1869 and a Joseph 4 in 1860. I know they lived in New Zealand , Henry Carter died in South Africa in 1902. In 1873/5 Henry was a member of the Wellington Parliament. Never found a death cert for Pamela nor anything about a father with first name of Feneby . Thanks for the shipping info, that is knew, great.
