ok so I am planning a trip down to my home town in Kent at the beginning of April. Thinking about going a day early so I could visit LMA to try to track down more details about Maria Butler now that I have the date of entry into the metropolitan district school
What I am wondering is if I can find out any more about George William Smith b 1842 to 1903. He was in some sort of workhouse or institution and was released on request of his grandmother Susan Martin, not sure where I got this information from, dont know what workhouse he was in. His sister Harriet Smith was with their grandmother on one of the census but he wasnt there. Their mother died 1849 so would have been after then.
I am also wondering if anybody can recommend somewhere to stay nearby the LMA just for one night .
