miuk1914a_084088-01235.jpgI have the records of an ancestor of mine, namely John Daniel Number 9003 of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers. He was born in Dublin and enlised into the Army in 1904. I have attached his record and was seeking clarification or conformation of what I can translate.
I can decipher the early few entries and then it looks like he was mobilized for war on 5th Aug 1914.
it then looks like he was taken Prisoner of war?? on 27/08/1914.
Then he was REPATRIATED which I assume means he was released at the end of the War?? 13/01/1919.
He was then discharged as being no longer fit for duties 4/9/1915
Does that look and sound corre3ct do you think???
