can find no trace of her prior to marriage. no birth, christening or parents' marriage. no census entry. only one eleanor mcdonald showing up in shipping, on the agincourt in 1862, age 7. but parents are john and anne.
she is a married in, but the story goes she hated her husband's family so much, she forced him to move to adelaide and they changed the spelling of their name every few years to thwart his family in finding them. considering i can't find a thing on her, i'd assume she is the one hiding something!
