Can anyone see the first name of the father here on top of page. Ancestry have it as Fitt ? Its repeated further down the page for another child. Looks like it could be a T at beginning there but either way, odd name isnt it? Can anyone work out if shortened form of something which at the moment I cant think of please?

Looks like Fitt to me. Might possibly (in the second one) be Tutt? Probably one of those family surnames used as a first name.
Anne
edit to say .... yes there's loads of Fitt Nichols if you do a general search on Ancestry. Well, maybe not loads but at least two LOL!!Last edited by Anne in Carlisle; 17-10-16, 14:17.

I think it probably is Fitt - one of those surnames used as first names that seem to have been particularly common in Norfolk.
