When my great aunt May married, the forenames on her marriage cert were May Sarah. The forenames on her birth cert were Sarah Ann. She was named after her mother, another Sarah Ann, but as her birthday was in May, she was always called that within the family to distinguish her from her mother. When she died, her death was registered as May W*****, no mention of Sarah.
