  • MIL Prov Staff Corps

    Hi all,
Wonder if there is any military experts among you that might be able to find some info for me?
My grandfather served with the royal tank corps from 1926 - 1946. One day after he was reassigned to the MIL Prov Staff Corps on the 15th jan 1946 stationed in NW Europe till dec 1947 then at home till march 1948. There are stories in the family that he was involved in the liberation of one of the camps, how likely is this? Is there any way that i can find out what he may have been doing during this time?
    Many Thanks
    Kelly

You'd need to apply to the ministry of defence for WWII service records. From memory a spouse gets them free, but you need the next of kin to apply for them, and a death certificate.
