1850 GUELPH, Arthur William Patrick Albert, Prince (Guelph is mistranscribed as Gudph)
But - 1853 ALBERT, Leopold George Duncan - no mention of a title at all and his last forename of Albert is missing from the index page.Last edited by GallowayLass; 29-08-16, 22:04.

Val, Queen Victoria was married on 10th February 1840. Her first child, Princess Victoria was born on 21 November 1840, calendar period of 9 months and 11 days.
Nothing to sweep under the carpet there.:DLast edited by grumpy; 30-08-16, 02:37.Whoever said Seek and Ye shall find was not a genealogist.

yes Janet she hated being pregnant cant say I blame her as it seems she only got chloroform on the 7th, she is actually lucky she only got 8 as most women in those days had lots more, very kind of you Sarah but I have been googling and found a lot about her, I love anything to do with her Elizabeth the 1st and Henry the 8th.

I find the whole Queen Victoria dynasty fascinating, Val. All those grandchildren and their marriages into so many European courts, and their PROBLEMS! So many human frailties and much unhappiness, all within the one family. I know they were privileged, but that's why there is so much documentation about their lives, warts and all. Also some very detailed examples of the great behaviour differences tolerated from males, but not females.
My grandmother was born in 1892 and when I was small, she used to tell me stories about "the old queen."
Wendy, I'd love a day at Osborne - the IoW has so many connections with Victoria and her family. I once did an escorted day trip from Christchurch to the Island and we spent some time at Whippenham, didn't even see Osborne, though :(

Genealogists never die - they just swap places in the family tree
