Could someone kindly look up a marriage between Mary Ann Matley and William Hayes in Gloucestershire.
No further details, probably circa 1800.

    Many thanks Happy days

Yes, didn't come up initially as I was searching 1800 +/- 20 years!

Thank you very kindly folks. Much appreciated. Some of you will know i have given up on William/Mary.

The one quoted was new to me and appeared when they said there were new criminal records (on which this one strangely
appears with only a very general date).

              Best wishes Happy days

The Parish Register entry is there, too, Mary Ann's surname looks more like Mattey: http://interactive.ancestry.co.uk/51...&usePUBJs=true

Thanks Scuda. Will be yet another red herring for me but my only chance of finding my ancestors seems to be
discovering why my William gave himself the middle name Artley (very much hearsay and mis-spelt at least three times).
Mattey is not all that different. That was first seen when he married in December 1832 in Kendal. Interesting - to me.
