I was listening to radio 4 first thing, they said it's the anniversary of it hitting the iceberg (though wikepedia says it didn't sink until the early hours of the 15th)

Who was Rose, who lived to about 100? When did she die? I remember her (or someone playing her) being at the start of Titanic, with an underwater documentary crew, and then obviously Kate Winslet portrayed her as a young girl.

Elizabeth Gladys Millvina Dean (2 February 1912 – 31 May 2009) was a British civil servant and cartographer. She was the last remaining survivor of the sinking of the RMS Titanic on 15 ... Her father, however, did not survive.
