Sheldon/Shelton?

I'm trying to find Stanley Sheldon/Shelton who (I think) came from the Nottingham area and was stationed at Warcop Camp during WW2. I've been unable to find his regiment and wonder if anyone out there might recognise his name.

I'm an FTF virgin ..... so please bear with me if I ask stupid or irrelevant questions!

I have Sheldons from Nottingham in my tree but they go way back so not much help to you.

Can you give us anymore help with parents or date of birth etc.

I am presuming he is deceased as living people are not allowed to be names on the forum.

I only have an approx DoB (1904-1915). If I could find the regiment, it would be helpful, I think. If anyone can suggest how to do this, I'd be very grateful. Have tried Warcop itself.
