Chrome Crash

Hi guys, I was praying someone on here may know what to do. I've just got a new laptop that has the Windows 8.1 system and my Chrome keeps on crashing. I do know that I could download better programs but I use Explorer for Email & reading things as I can make it into a book shape and I use Chrome for Social & Genealogy, plus I can save my links into better folders and it syncs to the tablet. Please can anyone help me with this problem?

have you got the latest edition of chrome ?

I downloaded it straight from Explorer, how exactly do I check that bit? I know that when I have to resort to the task manager it says 32 bit.

go to the three bars top right go to ,Help and about, then About google chrome then it will check for updates

It's up to date and seems to be alight so far. Although I did sadly lose the links from the other laptop but the good news is that the chrome on my tablet still has them :D

can you import them into your new laptop

I've tried it but it doesn't seem to want to work sadly.
