Hi all.
I am trying to establish what became of a family ancestor.
Her name was Mary Liddy(She is a different Mary Liddy from one I have asked about previously).
The only information I have on her is as follows:
She was born on 5th January 1911 in Belfast N Ireland to parents George and Mary Liddy.(She had her mother, a blood-line aunt and an aunt through marriage all living in Cincinnatti and all called Mary Liddy so her date of birth is important).
She emigrated to USA, arriving in New York on 24th September 1916, aged 5 years.
She appears on the 1920 US census aged 8 living with her parents in Cincinnati.
The only other piece of info I have is that on the ship manifest of her emigrating, her name appears to be written as May Liddy, so this perhaps is what her family called her.
I can't find her on the 1930 census as either Mary or May Liddy, even though she would only have been 18 years of age.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I have posted this request on another well known genealogy forum without success!
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Paul.
