  • Settlement Certificates

I have a transcript for a settlement certificate that was issued in 1790 for an individual , not for a family, and unfortunately there appears to be no corresponding examination.

My question is, would a boy of 10 be issued with a certificate just in his name? For example, if he was placed by the parish in another for an apprenticeship?

    Many thanks

I think I have found an answer to my problem.... I had the wrong boy! :o
I blame having too many with the same name.

Please ignore me while I slink into a corner shaking my head.
