Visited Berrington Hall nr Leominster, Herefordshire today. There's a mystery regarding what happened to William (Samuel) Kemp who was the butler there in 1910.
He managed to shoot himself in the foot which led to it being amputated. There's letters to the insurance company and it looks like he wasn't kept on but what happened to him?
At Berrington Hall in 1911 census - there's only Lord Frederick Cawley's youngest son Oswald
at home with two servants but no sign of William. Lord Cawley is in Prestwick with the rest of the family and again no sign of William (Samuel).
Anyone interested in finding out what happened to him?
