  • Exeter marriage 1885

    Hello,
I have a marriage in Exeter in 1885 2nd quarter on BMD. It is for Charles Sumner and Mary Ann Harris. I need to know if this is my Charles by getting the name of his father. Is there any way of finding out other than buying the certificate
    Thank you
    Ann

Not with certainty Ann. You could perhaps get a clue by finding them in 1891 and checking where and when it says he was born.

What makes you think he might be yours?

Oh dear I don't think I explained myself very well. I know the name of the father but if I know it is on this marriage then I know it is the right wife.

Elaine I do not subscribe to that, but his father is John Sumner. Can I get the image just by paying a one off
          Thank you very much
          Regards
