ooooh it's you Ann from Sussex, (looked at the 1901 census, found the landlord George Beaumont then spotted him among your Beaumonts in the FTF Gedcom section), your George gets a mention! He took over the tenancy in 1898 according to the article and his wife was described by his referee as "a very sharp woman...well adapted for a landlady of a public house!" Will pm you.
