  • St Andrews Ilketshall Suffolk

I am looking for Edward Ellis's Father and Mother b: 1790 St Andrews Ilketshall Suffolk, i am aware of 2 Edward Ellis's, one also from Lowestoft. Mine was from St Andrew's Ilk Suffolk. I have searched Ancestry.ca and Familysearch.

My goal is to take this portion of my tree back as far as i can. I need to get past this road block.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I cannot find a birth or a marriage for Edward and Mary Thurlow :(

Suffolk is not covered well online - very patchy. Perhaps you could ask on Rootweb/chat if someone could do a look up for you at Lowestoft or Ipswich Record Office. We don't have anyone on here available for look ups for Suffolk.

Familysearch has the parish record - or rather, the transcribed parish record - in its catalog
Discover your family history. Explore the world’s largest collection of free family trees, genealogy records and resources.

"Microfilm of original records in the Suffolk County Record Office, Ipswich, transcribed by C. Partridge. Records for the period 1684-1752 were copied by Rev. Huddle in 1931."

                  and

"Vol. I is a fragment, much worn and faded, copied with great care by the rector, the Rev. A. Huddle, M. A. The following transcript is copied from his typed copy."

But you may request the film to peruse at your nearest family history centre

and Archer doesn't seem to think that it's transcribed for your time period:
