Going through my maternal gran, Emma Hanson - her mother was Maria Taylor born c1862/3 Camberwell, LOndon
The marriage certificate 1884 to my Great grandad, James Hanson (also a wood carver) shows the father of Maria as Benjamin Taylor, wood carver.
Its very odd as I find Ben Taylor with his wife Emma in their late 40s with 8 year old Maria and no other kids but I dont find them earlier, I dont find their marriage or Maria's baptism. (for certain that is, various possibles but no real evidence). I think I have the right Ben Taylor being baptised in 1825 southwark as he has a father,William who is a wood carver too Mother is Sarah.

1871:
There is another Ben Taylor born about same time who is a boot repairer and spends a lot of his later life in workhouses but I really dont think its the same man.
Any help please?
