I have Robert Walpole in the Poplar Workhouse in 1901. Can somebody tell me how to find out when and if he ever left. He died in Poplar in 1907 but I do not know if he was still in the work house.
Thank you
Ann
Hello Vera
I do not know the date the 1901 census was taken. This is possibly my man as he was born about 1833 and lived in Bromley by Bow area. When I follow your link what do I put in
Thank you for your help
Ann
You need Tower Hamlets, scroll to Polplar, then Creed Register then chose which date. He could have been there from 1894 plus or minus. I'm not too familiar with what info gives which but if you get a date then Admission/Discharge register may give outcomes

Robert maintains his admission of 29th October 1894 up to the records of 1902-1904.
He was discharged on the 19th October 1903 to ?E Ham out relief.
Could then have been re-admitted for any period up to his death in 1907

Here is Robert's discharge record from Poplar. At the time of discharge he was on the Infirm Diet and was discharged to East Ham for Outside Relief
I couldn't see any further admissions in Poplar Creed records from the 1903 discharge to 1907 year of death.
