Hi, I've probably put this in the wrong place but I was wondering if getting 14 obituaries for one person was a normal thing in the 1980's, I've heard of people having 1 or 2 but not 14, regardless of having a lot of children & grandchildren married.

Is this is the local newspaper. If they had loads of family it was fairly common for everyone to put their own obit in.

Think it was a lot cheaper then than now.

I know when we had friends that were 21 or getting married we always clubbed together and put an announcement in the paper in the 70's and 80's. Costs an arm and a leg now!!

It was the local paper and I think the price said 12-15P a word and they were all for my Great Nanna who had 7 children and most of the Grandchildren were married with their own, I wasn't born at the time.
