James and Anne Mccoy were brother and sister. Both were born in Ardee County Louth Ireland.Anne in 1866 and James in 1868.They both emigrated to America,to where and when i do not know.As part of my family tree i have tried for the last number of years to gain any information on both of them and have failed.Ships passenger lists, census information, you name it and i have tried it.There are plenty of James and Anne McCoy's but no direct link to Ardee or Louth. As far as i am aware both emigrated at different times.Have really hit a brick wall on this one.N.B.I have posted this message on a few sites over the years.

Hello Elaine,Thank you for the welcome.Their parents were,Bernard McCoy and Catherine McCoy nee Matthews. They also had another sister,Mary who was born in 1864.She also emigrated but returned home, married and spent the rest of her life in Ireland. My father, who is 90 years young remembers a Photo, which is long gone of James McCoy and his two son's that was sent home to Ireland when he,my father was very young. Both James and Anne came from a large family. They were farmers.

You also mention a photo of James, seemingly taken in America, with two sons. Do you know the sons' names? It's a long shot, but it might help in finding them in America...Researching:
HOEY (Fermanagh, other Ulster counties and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) BANNIGAN and FOX (Ballyshannon, Donegal, Ireland and Portland, Maine, USA) REYNOLDS, McSHEA, PATTERSON and GOAN (Corker and Creevy, Ballyshannon, Donegal, Ireland) DYER (Belfast and Ballymacarrett) SLEVIN and TIMONEY (Fermanagh) BARNETT (Ballagh, Tyrone and Strangford, Down)
