From a Buckinghamshire mailing list:
The WHITECHAPEL MURDERS of the 1890s have held a gruesome
fascination for well over a century - especially to those with ancestors who
lived in fear in the East End of the time. 'Jack the Ripper' was blamed - and
identified with a number of doctors, a Royal Prince, and more recently, on
flimsy evidence, a poor Russian Jew. One of the investigating team then
was P C John Neill. And -in costume as him - John Neal, former London
policeman and historian, has re-examined the facts in the light of modern
techniques and come to the interesting conclusion that
'JACK THE RIPPER WAS INNOCENT -OK?
You can hear his theories, agree or disagree, on Saturday February 14 at
the Southcourt community Centre, Prebendal Ave, Aylesbury HP21 8LF at
2.30 (doors open 2pm) when he talks to the Bucks Genealogical Society.
