  • Fn and F6 query please

Can anyone tell me please if there is a way to set my mouse as my preference, rather than the lap top finger thing. Rather than having to remember to press Fn and F6 every time I log on (before my writing goes haywire).

Do you mean the touchpad, Chrissie! ;)

You can normally disable it permanently - via Control Panel >> Mouse
      Some info here .. http://www.thewindowsclub.com/disabl...ad-windows-8-7

      - not sure what you mean by setting the mouse as preference.

Will take a look at that tomorrow thank you Elaine I only have 5 mins now.

I just meant so that I don't have to keep disabling the touch pad.

Thanks Val but mine is a wireless one. I don't know whether that make a difference. There is still a 'thingy' with it that you plug into a USB port though.

Yes Val but my laptop has it permanently set to recognise the pad as well.

After reading the link you gave Elaine I have decided to keep doing my FN+F6. There is a danger that I might disable it permanently and it's always possible that I may need it in an emergency. Thank you again
