Boer war records

On FMP in military records, in the Boer War set, there is an entry for Ernest Albert Hills. Could someone please have a quick look to see if he is the son of Frederick Hills of Cambridge, and that he possibly died on 26 Dec 1900 in South Africa.

Technically he was Albert Ernest Hiles, but the family changed their name.
