    Hi Dave

Can you let us have a bit more info so we know where to start looking.

Let us know as much as possible and perhaps better to do a thread for each family.

    Welcome to the forum.

Just found a bap for Joseph 18 Feb 1747 in Nuneaton. Parents James and Elizabeth.

Can't say it is definitely him but does tie up with the witness at the wedding.

I have Joseph's father has being James 1720 -1790 and his mother as Elizabeth Allcott b 1726. (No date of death) I haven't been able to get any further back than this.

Joseph was married to Sarah Wheway and her parentage can be traced back to the 14th Century through her mother's line - Hastings. IN her father's line (Wheway). I have her great grandparents John Wheway 1664? and Mary Kirkeby 1665? still in the Nuneaton area.
