  • Another missing Griffin ...

Samuel b1840 Sneinton, shoe maker, is alive in 1891 and living in Leicester. His wife Harriet died later that year and is buried in Leicester.

Can anyone please find Samuel after 1891?

I've looked at deaths/burials in Leic post 1891 and found:
Deaths Q2 1896 - Griffin Samuel 61 Leicester = born 1835 ... however there's no obvious burial with the rest of his family in Leic.

Deaths Q3 1896 - Griffin Samuel 55 Nottingham = born 1841 ... did Samuel go back to Sneinton to die?
Is anyone able to please check this with NBI?

Is he still alive in 1901?

I think I've found him ... just scoured Leicester burial discs and think the 1896 age 61 is a strong possibility, although, unlike all other family members, he's in a plot with 3 unrelated people.

              Thanks for your help.
