Have a probate record of a Catherine Adams dying in 1933 administration to her Husband Edward Alexander Adams.
Query is he had died in 1912 ? is this usual
Are you sure the death in 1912 was of her husband? I don't see how administration could be granted to a deceased person as administrators have to attend and swear an oath when admin is granted.
I see a Edward and Catherine Adams in Peckham in 1911 this is the same borough that Catherine died, and he was a newsagent so I am guessing these are the couple referred to in the probate record. The death of Edward A Adams in 1912 was registered in Southwark so I would say he was not the same man, unless you know different?
I'm not positive Judith as I dont have the death cert yet but the death reg details are so close its untrue, think I had better have another look then thanks
oops cross posted I thought that was his death ? thanks again off to find his death then
