Hi I am Daren, and I need help on the final piece of the puzzle on the Ridley family. What I know already.
John Ridley married Anne Brown at St Judes Knarsedale. Northumberland.12/1761. I ordered a marriage certificate and no parents mentioned on the report I received from Northumberland archives. I am trying to find the parents on both. The marriage details state-
John Ridley from the Parish of Middleton ? any hints on where this may be.
Anne Brown was of this parish.
They had 4 children Margaret 1762, Jacob 1764 ,Anne 1766 and John 1769.
I am from Jacob Ridley who married Jane Yeates St Peters Heysham 1790.
also mentioned in the report but may be relevant was
10/3/1787- Ann wife of John Ridley of Barns.
28/12/1771-John son of John and Ann Ridley of Barnstown foot
    They were both burial entries.
I have all the details on the Ridley family coming forward, but just need these final details .

    Welcome to the Forum Daren.
It's probable that this Middleton is part of North West Manchester and your grandies were from Heysham also Lancs.
Since you have researched back to 1761 you'll be looking at Parish Records and one you may not be aware of is Lancs on line Parish Clerks, http://www.lan-opc.org.uk.....................worth a look.

The name John Ridley is very common in Northumberland with a couple of dozen options c1740 when he may have been born.
Ancestry has many more to look at.
