Am helping a friend with her Tree and she now wants to send for her father's Army Records. She has his birth certificate from 1915 and on his marriage cert in 1939 for profession it says "L/Cl Bombardier RA No. .......", so that gives his service number too, and she has his death cert from 1971.
I know she needs to fill in a couple of forms and pay £30, but could someone just double-check that I'm giving her the right info, please?
I think she needs to complete this form
and, because RA stands for Royal Artillery, this one
On the second form it says to include "a copy of the death certificate". Does copy in this context mean a photocopy, please?
And any other tips, please - apart from waiting patiently after sending off the forms and the £30, of course!
Thanks for helping.
