I have Ada Studd b 10 Aug 1889 in Rotherhithe (I have her baptism) living with parents William and Sarah in 1901 (RG13, Piece 397, Folio 124, Page 31)
On 17 Feb 1909 she is witness at her sister's wedding (William George Tadman & Louisa Amelia Studd, St. Bartholomew's Camberwell).
I haven't been able to find her in 1911. I have her parents and all but 2 of her siblings, one of which has died (I don't know which one; that's another story, I will come back to this in another thread!), but no sign of Ada.
However I do have an Ada Studd b 1889 leaving Liverpool for Quebec in 1907, and another Ada Studd (no DOB listed) leaving Liverpool for Halifax in 1910. Checking the 1901 census there are only two possible Ada Studds in the UK, mine and another one in Suffolk (b c1890).
So did Ada go to Canada in 1907, come back for her sisters wedding in 1909 then go back again 1910? Is there any way of checking if this is her? I have never done any research in Canada so not sure where to go next.
