  • I need to solve a mystery, any takers?

    Hiya guys

I have a man named Edward Lennon born in 1912 to Mary Lennon & ?

A search of Scotland's People shows that there's a possibility of a marriage in Bellshill, Lanarkshire between 1930-1935, is it possible that someone can check it out for me please? Edward is my Great Nanna Cecilia's brother and I desperately need to find out who he married and if there's children as they brought Granddad up until he was 15 and found out the truth.

Granddad was born in Manchester in 1941 and at some point they moved to Stockton-On-Tees and lived in Dundas Street where Cecilia would end up living as well as Uncle A clearly remembers my Mum's Mum when they lived round the corner in the 60's.

Edward & wife separated when Granddad was 15 and I think he may have moved to Oldham as Dad was born there in 63 when Nanna & Granddad were visiting some relatives of Granddad's.

Cecilia had 3 siblings: Sarah, Edward & Jane. Jane lived in Stockton & had 6 kids to a man named Norman Jones between 51 to 61. Sarah married Mr Reid in 1939 (Granddad's name) and they brought up Cecilia's first son, also named Edward who took on the named Reid. I have met Sarah's daughter so I know that they did have children of their own as well.

    Thanks ever so much guys

I am the girl from that town & I'm darn proud of it.

Might be worth flushing your DNS:o

To do this (Assuming you are using Microsoft Windows)
          1) Close your web browser
          2) Click on your Start button, lower left
          3) Look for the Run Command. Click on Run
          4) In the box that appears, type cmd and press enter
          5) In the black screen that appears type ipconfig /flushdns
          6) You can now close the black screen (click on the X in the upper right corner of the black screen
          7) Open you browser and try the links again

Guess what? I've just finally solved this Edward. I've found a death in Oldham, 1983 and the birth attached matches my Edward, even if this one has a middle name attached to him.

Plus I've now got pictures of the street that Dad was born in, both the parts that survive and the knocked down parts, sadly Dad's area is the knocked down part. I think it may even be the street that Edward was living in.
