Hi
Is anyone else researching this family or available to help me as I am having grey hairs tracking down members of my late mothers family and I would like to follow Catherine's (Mellett/Walsh) journey & my late grandmother's journey (Margaret Walsh) to see what happened to them after 1903 as I can remember my mother telling me that my grandmother was not bought up by her own mother and father and she was instead bought up at some point by relatives possibly living in Wales. There is also a strong possibility my grandmother was born with a health problem which would now be called Perthes Disease. I am not sure but I wondered if my grandmother was in the Workhouse in Liverpool at some point around 1911 (Mount Olive in West Derby Lancs where there is a record of an inmate in the name of Margaret Walsh) but I am not sure how I can get this confirmed? Also it appears that my grandmothers/mother's side of the family were Roman Catholic (Patrick & Margaret) but at some point in time this religion appeared to stop as my mother was bought up as Church of England???
Catherine Mellett born c.1875 in Liverpool to Patrick (b.1841 in Ireland) & Margaret Mellett (b.1839 in Ireland) other siblings are Margaret (b.1867), John(b.1868), Michael(b.1870) & Thomas (b.1874) and they lived at Rachel Street Liverpool
Catherine appears in the 1881 Census as Catherine Mellett still living in Rachel Street Liverpool
Catherine married Thomas Walsh in 1900
Catherine & Thomas appear in the 1901 Census in Liverpool
My grandmother Margaret Walsh was born in Liverpool in March 1903 - there is very little information after this time??
Thank you if you are able to help me
