Hmm...that's what I thought but not what I wanted.
'My' John Windsor was recorded as a groom on his daughter's wedding certificate. I was hoping that this might say 'farrier'...though I know that is still not a groom.
Will keep looking!

I would have said farmer at first glance, but actually I do think you're right and it's farrier - there's a sticky up bit before the e.

My first thoughts were either farmer or farrier. However, it's the lack of any dots indicating that there is no letter i that sways me towards farmer.Researching:
