I have a family of probably 9 vanished from their house on the 1861 census.
In 1851 George and Sarah Ford (nee Drake) are living at 61 Adam Street, Rotherhithe (HO107 Piece 1583 Folio 111 Page 31).
They have a few more children, and on 22 Feb they have son Stephen baptised; they are now living at 56 Adam Street
Sadly Stephen died the same day he was baptised.
I can't find them anywhere in 1861, and there should be at least 9 in the family. 56 Adam street is occupied by another couple (Hollis) (RG9 Piece 389 Folio 95 Page 31)
61 Adam Street is occupied by Drakes (name is a coincidence I think, as I have no connection to Sarah and I know there is an unconnected line in east London) (RG9 Piece 389 Folio 95 Page 32)
But, in 1866, they are at 56 Adam Street for the baptism of Thomas (24 Oct) and the 1871 census (RG10 Piece 642 Folio 103 Page 23)
So, they are at 56 Adam Street 22 Feb 1861, they aren't there on 7th April, but they are back there by 1866.
Any ideas?
