i've been reading through findmypast's feedback forum, and am listing some of the things they are planning or launching.

Trace your ancestry and build a family tree by researching extensive birth records, census data, obituaries and more - over 5 billion records - start today!

    RECORDS
-england electoral records 1832-1932 and more post 1900
-better newspaper coverage- including better coverage of the first world war
we’ve added new issues from Burnley, Coventry, Derbyshire, Dublin, Leicester, Luton, North and South Shields and Sussex – to list but a few
    -england non conformist records
    -improved emmigration and travel records
-more parish records (not specific of which ones, but yorkshire is being done)
    -workhouse and hospital records
-mother's maiden name search box for GRO post 1911 births
    -search by parish

    SITE IMPROVEMENTS
-uploading images, documents and audio to family trees
    -attaching records to trees
-variations search for other members of household on census (previous just the person you were looking for could be found with a name variant)
-ability to 'rate' records so you don't need to save them to 'my favourites'
-occupation search in census searches (assuming this would be all census?)
    - (in the long term) link census date with maps
-ability to search census by reference numbers
    -importing GEDCOM's
    -greater site capacity
    -payment with PAYPAL

    some interesting ideas under review:
-a national BMD index compiled from local registrars- including mother's maiden names, marriage partners, and age at death
-a closer relationship with scotlandspeople- suggesion being some free credits with FMP subs
-old maps contrasted with modern maps, to see where streets used to be
    -national school registers
    -search GRO indexes via district
-searching parish records with parents names
    -ability for adding alternate transcriptions

a suggestion of records to upload, which is labelled 'planned' though not specifically stated which records are planned:

    - Cheshire Land Tax forms
    - Land Tax Assessments
    - Inquest records
