  • Bride married before ?

And this has not been asked before I'm a bit more with it today.;)

Charles John True a Widower born 1865 Lambeth married an Aimee Lowrie in 1917 Southwark

Cannot find a Birth for her so am assuming she had been married before but who to ?

She died in 1924 Croydon says born abt 1869

Really would like her Birth and any previous Marriage if possible

I do know his first wife died in 1912 and Charles in 1940 Lewisham

Cannot really warrant buying this marriage cert yet as I have other priorities

    Thanks

Val - have you seen the Amy Lowrie on the 1911 census? She has a daughter Elsie 0 with her and a William Barton, states married but no husband there. Residing Southwark.

Val - ignore the William Barton, when I opened onto the census he's not there just Amy and Elsie.

There is a birth for Amy LOWRY in St Luke, London in Q1 1869 (vol 1b p745) - have you ruled that one out ?

                            1901 census RG13 Folio 25 Page 6
Annie Lowrie born Kennington, occ. Cook

There's a tree on ancestry with daughter Elsie on it with father Charles Frederick Lowry but no mother listed http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/790...20256883?ssrc=

There are one or two other trees with the same information but with Elsie born n the same date in Scotland.

The image shows she is single yet in 1911 she says married and had 3 children 2 died.
