Looking through the batch numbers records for the place of Baumber only one child born to Ann Birchby, but there is a Mark Marshall with a wife Elizabeth in the same place having children around the same time as there are a couple of births for the couple around a year or two later.

PS there is a Mark Marshall in 1760s having children same place name so worth a bit of digging

Looked at the beginning of the Banns Reg Baumber and came across a Mark Marshall marrying

wondered if you had had a look or if you have more on Mary?

There were two Mark Marshalls in Baumber at the time............and I guess either of them could be the father....................both of them were married in 1772..........not that being married rules them out.

But I was hoping to find out what happened to the child.

It would appear that one of them fathered a child with Anne Goose in in 1761 as well.............but that child died in infancy.

Thank you for looking.............I will do some more searching today.......and see what I can find.

Maybe I should look for a marriage for Ann Birchby to see if Mark changed his name.

The Mark Marshall who married Adversity/Dovesity Brown is my Great x4 grandfather........and his second marriage was to Sarah Blades who I was greatfully helped with on here a few weeks ago in trying to sort out her parentage.

Yes I think that's probably the best way to look as he has probably called himself by another name
