william thomas golding.
there is a rumour that anne was sent to a mental hospital, and that explains why william would state he was married without a wife. anne's sister martha b.1840 apparently spent time at tooting bec hospital in wandsworth, and died there in 1920. she is buried at morden cemetery, and in the cemetery is an anne golding who died in 1923.
ann golding d.22 sep 1923, tooting bec mental hospital, wandsworth. age 90 b.1833. of westminster, spinster, domestic servant. E.H. beresford, chief resident officer was infomant. i think this lady may have been in caterham asylum, surrey 1891-1901. no birth place is listed, and marital status is unknown for most inmates on the same page as her on the 3 census. but i can't spot her before 1891.
a descendant of anne believes the 1923 death is anne, but i'm not so sure. can anyone see anything at all for anne after 1861 please?
