  • hello new hhere - researching Brauer family:

    g'day,

been in other forums over the years got some good help, now wanting to get back to forums, with new blood.

nearly a decade of research, got heaps of family names, Brauer the mine one:

looking for contacts/history from southern states; Victoria; Tasmania; South Aus'; and Western Australia.

Queensland(where we are) & New South Wales have public BD&M data sites, so searching in those states somewhat more productive, we do have relations in South Aus' & Victoria but can
    t research those states.

some general news: there is going to be a Kapernick/Schmidt gathering on 29th of March, there will be a family book on sale app' $50AUD. in Queensland up Murgon way.

    looking for good times here

Hello Len and welcome to the Forum,
This is the right place for your Family History questions but you may like to know on the General board we have a thread for our Australian friends to chat and get to know each other after hours when we are all sleeping http://www.familytreeforum.com/showt...tlers/page1097 so pay them a visit and get to know a few people on this Forum but you can post FH questions on this Research Board.

        Hello Len,
I have two friends with the surname Brauer. One is in Qld (where I am) and the other in Tenterfield, NSW. I am not sure if they are related but maybe so.

I know they both have done a fair bit on their trees. I'll ask and get back to you....
