Could anyone tell me please the length of time a courts' records are closed for?

Pilgrim, I will move your query into the Research forum. When you posted you must have clicked on the "thread prefix" box, one of which is Resolved!

Court records are legally Public Records and therefore subject to the standard closure period of thirty years, however due to many of the court records being of a sensitive nature, most are closed for one hundred years.
Whether there is statute to require it or not.

What is it you are trying to find out, Pilgrim? there may be a way round it. For example, many court cases are reported in the newspapers.
