Im having problems with it jumping off the person I am inputting info on, the only way I can stop it from jumping is compacting the file, anyone able to offer any advice or a solution on this, it is upto date.

There was an update issued a couple of days ago. Have you installed that?

I shall have a look now Elaine, I did try to update about a week ago and it said it was upto date, is this a common problem do u know ??

- not a problem I have heard of before!
You really should not need to keep compacting the file - can't remember the last time I did mine but certainly many months ago.

You say it jumps to another person - is this when you are entering info in the boxes on the right of screen - or after you have entered info in the boxes in the right?
Does it jump to a close relative - or a random person in your tree?

Afterwards, it normally jumps to another family member, I will try and reinstall it as I cant have it keep jumping each time I flick between ancestry and tree
