You know when you haven't got all the full details about someone and just one thing drives you potty trying to find it? Well, I am having one of those moments! My uncles father married twice and it is the first wife I am having difficulty finding anything relating to her birth parents. Fanny Trass, supposedly born in Hazelbury Bryan Dorset in 1862/63. She married George Charles Upward in Hilton in Dorset on 09/01/1885. I have a copy of the marriage banns and then a copy of the wedding register, no father's name appears, which is no so unusual. I though I might be able to find her mother's name, no birth on FBMD. I have looked at http://www.opcdorset.org/ pages, the surrounding villages of Hazelbury Bryan, Hilton, Melcombe Horsey - in fact anywhere that she might be connected to. The only surname I have come close to finding on the list of census from these villages, checked 1871 and 1881, is the surname Trash. I have been on Ancestry and find my Past without any success. Anyone got any suggestions on how I might find this person's mother?
