AVG Free virus infection

My computer is infected with a virus pretending to be from AVG Free - beware! It looked very real.

Any ideas how to get rid of it? I may not reply straightaway as I am in the library.

this is what I am getting:

IDP Program C Docs and Settings\Compaq Owner\local settings\Temp\nscrpt.exe
AVG Detection

HI OCH I am no expert but I would say the first and easiest would be to restore your computer to an earlier date before you had this problem, if that dont work, try looking in the add and delete programmes in the Control Panel and delete it.

Thanks Robert, touch wood it appears to have sorted itself out finally. Erm...about ten minutes AFTER I booked the computer man to come and look, lol.
