Agnes Maud Ryan married James Robert Kirk in Greenwich in 1906.

In 1911 census, she stated her birthplace was Sydney NSW and birth year c1880

I haven't found her in 1901, so wonder if she arrived between 1901 & 1906?

Thanks again, Susan - I use the library for Ancestry worldwide.

It's interesting to have that bit of family background for her ;) However, as Agnes married into my extended family of Kirks, it is really when and why she travelled to England that is my main interest. Her future husband James and 2 of his brothers worked for the travel company Thomas Cook in 1901, but by 1911 he had had a change of career and was an estimating electrical engineer (??) I wonder what brought Agnes to England and if they met through "travel".

OK, Jay, I understand. I did look for her on incoming passenger lists but didn't find her.
