I think the place of attestation is Newry (Co Armagh), not Derry. The enlisting officer's name looks like Private Faris on a record on the following page.

HOEY (Fermanagh, other Ulster counties and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) BANNIGAN and FOX (Ballyshannon, Donegal, Ireland and Portland, Maine, USA) REYNOLDS, McSHEA, PATTERSON and GOAN (Corker and Creevy, Ballyshannon, Donegal, Ireland) DYER (Belfast and Ballymacarrett) SLEVIN and TIMONEY (Fermanagh) BARNETT (Ballagh, Tyrone and Strangford, Down)

No idea Ann. I don't have a full membership to Forces Records. I just receive emails from them. I searched for Patrick Lennon, All Records, British Nationality when Irish didn't bring up any results & it was the top one.
Lennon. Phillips. Thomas. Peacock. Tubridy. Burton.

Linda- Thank you
Ann- I've found a baptism for 16 Aug 1813 in Upper Creggan, County Armagh followed by his marriage on 28th Nov 1840 in Ballymore, County Armagh to Mary Larkin and then a few Census records that listed Ireland as his birth country It was another tree that listed Armagh but I could never find any proof for such a long time until I tried just searching for Patrick & not the supposed parents which were Bernard & Sarah. It turns out that the Mother was Mary Callaghan. I can't list his Father as it's the name of my Dad.Lennon. Phillips. Thomas. Peacock. Tubridy. Burton.

Was he still in the Army when he married? If not, still no indication that it's the same man.The National Archives, Kew – Research Service Offered
