  • William Leach died 1838

In British Newspapers there is an entry in the Hampshire Advertiser of 15 Dec 1838 relating to the death of William Leach. I think this might be one of mine. Could someone have a look to see if there are any more details. He should be about 88 years old, and I would love if it said where he came from!

    Many thanks
    Linda

Not much detail, only says he died on Thursday & was a harness maker aged 89 years. The paper is dated Saturday 15th Dec 1838.

    Hope that helps,

Thanks Sue, I'm pretty sure that's him as the age seems to fit and the family were all harness makers. So death was on 13th Dec. Yippee, another date to fill in.

There's another entry for a William Leach (same person?) in the Hampshire Telegraph dated 15 October 1838 concerning property under the heading of Wymering & Widley:
        To be sold by auction:
Two thatched cottages adjoining the George Inn at Cosham in the Parish of Widley occupied by William Wallis & William Leach.
